My Best Friend's Bachelorette - Part 2

Our bride to be is a sweet summer child. She loves the warm weather, outdoor adventures, the beach, travel, pamper time, cocktails, and sentimental moments with her besties. Everything we planned for her bachelorette party taps into an element (or multiple elements) of her personality.

As detailed in My Best Friend's Bachelorette Part 1, the bride has been kidnapped by us (Her Mumma, Her MOH, and Bridesmaids). She has already completed an outdoor activity which she will ABSOLUTELY remember for the rest of her life. She's felt the adrenaline rush and is now taking in one of the best views Canberra has to offer while sipping champagne.

Well then. Time to hop in the car ladies! We have a lunch booking to get to!

Lunch at Kinn Thai

Our sweet summer child loves travel. Thailand is up there on her list of favourite destinations and a big factor in that is the fresh, healthy, flavour filled food and sweet cocktails.

Kinn Thai was the perfect choice for lunch & it's location fit in with our plans & theme for the rest of the day. Have you eaten at this place yet? Holy shitsticks! It's DELICIOUS!

Bachelorette Lunch at Kinn Thai Canberra

There are two main reasons we love Kinn Thai. The first is their amazing food. The banquets are guaranteed to leave you full (and Thai food is a good base in your belly before a night out). The second reason is the cocktails. Choose between a glass, OR A JUG of your favourite cocktail... So obviously I'm sitting there like "Yes Please, I'll have a jug of Mai Thai...and 1 straw... no, dont worry about a glass, its really not necessary". Yes I'm a booze hag. No I'm not ashamed.

The staff were so lovely and went out of their way to help make our lunch perfect, including mixing up some non-alcoholic drinks for those in the bride tribe who were pregnant, making them feel less like being a house for a tiny human was preventing them from having fun.

Glam Make-up at Napoleon Perdis

As I mentioned before, our girl loves some pamper time so we scheduled her in with a make-up artist at Napoleon Perdis in Canberra City.

One of the bridesmaids clued us in on what is apparently her best kept secret - I felt like a chump for not knowing earlier! At Napoleon Perdis you can have your full make-up done for $100 AND receive $90 worth of product. In one fell swoop the bride was getting glamorous for her big night and adding to her personal make-up collection. Money well spent, and mental note made for future events.

Hotel Rooms and Hair Styling

We had arranged for the bride tribe to stay in a hotel room, and make it feel like the slumber parties we used to have when we were teens. Oversharing, laughing, and getting ready for a fun night.

Our bride tribe included 3 new mums who are usually breastfeeding their babies. Now, unfortunately the human body doesn't say "hrrmmm, looks like she's having a booze day, better stop making milk"... No no no... it says "man this baby is going to be super hungry, better make heaps of milk!". Before you know it, breasts become huge, swollen and sore, so if we had any chance of surviving the night we needed to relieve the pressure - commence operation "pump & dump" (translation: express milk, and tip it down the sink).

We had arranged for a hairdresser to come and help us get glam because we are not super skilled in this area. Our gorgeous hairdresser looked at us with a smile and said "I've seen some weird things while I've been hairdressing, but this is definitely up there ladies!" Everywhere she looked somebody had their boobs casually out and expressing milk. #MakingMemories.... #MakingMamories?

Eating - done.

Hair - done.

Make-up - done.

Getting dressed - done.

Drinking...so so so not done.

Time for the next adventure.
